Product Description
Made in USAWhile you may look at the price and balk, here's the story behind the New Balance M2040 Running Shoes for men. New England dominated shoe making before World War I. The industry employed more than 211,000 workers and manufactured 331 million pairs of shoes. By the 90's, domestically manufactured sneakers accounted for only 10% of the total sold. Athletic shoes became extremely popular, far exceeding the share of dress shoes sold. New Balance is New England born and bred. Never forgetting its roots, or the American workers who helped the company succeed, New Balance manufactures the Men's M2040 Running Shoes right here in the U.S.A.A men's training shoe built on a straight last, the breathable nylon mesh upper is reinforced with suede and synthetic leather and features reflective trim for night safety. The removable molded footbed insures a custom fit. The molded REVlite midsole foam is 30% lighter than competitors' foams and exceptionally shock absorbing. A Polyurethane insert adds an extra layer of stability and cushioning to the midsole. The N-Durance rubber outsole is extremely durable and, combined with blown rubber in strategic areas, reduces weight and provides a more cushioned landing.
